Open WRITE

Launch NFC Tools and choose the WRITE tab.

3

Tap Add a record

This opens the list of information types that can be stored on the tag.

4

Choose what you want to save

Select the record type — for example URL / URI, contact details, phone number, text, social profile, location or Wi‑Fi — then enter the information and confirm it.

5

Tap Write · XX bytes

The app shows how much data will be written. Tap Write to start.

6

Hold the keychain to the phone

Keep the NFC tag close to the phone’s NFC antenna until the app confirms a successful write. On iPhone, the NFC area is usually near the top edge; on Android, the antenna position varies by model.

Done — your keychain is ready.

Hold it near an unlocked NFC-compatible phone. On most modern phones, a notification or opening prompt will appear automatically — no NFC Tools app is required to read standard records such as a website link.

Nothing happens?Make sure the phone is unlocked and NFC is enabled. Move the tag slowly around the upper/back area of the phone.
Writing a web link?Use a complete URL, including https://, for the most reliable result.
Want to change it later?Open NFC Tools and write a new record to the tag. The tag remains rewritable unless you deliberately lock it.
